Kids’ Creative Theater with Music &
Movement For children entering K– 8th grades
Monday – Friday 9 – 12 am
Saturday, 3 – 5 pm to perform with YardArts professionals
at the Family Matinee

Each week-long session is different, attend as many
as you like.
Led by highly skilled teaching artists, Kids Creative
Theater is designed to nourish students’ imaginations while
introducing them to basic skills of theater, music and movement.
Each week’s curriculum is themed around the professional performance
taking place that weekend at The Yard. Working in age-appropriate
groups and guided by professional artists, students help to create
the work they perform. Kids Creative Theater Ensemble share process
with their family and friends on Friday mornings and star alongside
YardArts Festival performers in the public Saturday family matinees.
Location: The Yard, just off Beetlebung Corner, Chilmark
Age levels:
Students entering 1st-8th grades,
Kindergarten by permission
High School Students:
High school students interested in theater, music and movement may
earn Community Service credits or a stipend by enrolling in our
teacher trainee program, 2 weeks minimum commitment. Contact generalmanager@dancetheyard.org

Tuition:
$300
$250 for children enrolled in MV Public Schools
Scholarships are available.
Kids' Creative Theater is unable to offer refunds except in the
case of low enrollment.
